  1. 1973 - 1974 :Worked as a technical assistant in plant protection in Lahej Duties involved recording percentage of infestation by pests and Supervising spraying program.

  3. 1980 -1983: Worked as Agricultural engineer in state farm in area of fruit seedling multiplication and grafting and vegetable crops.
  4. 1983 - 1987: On fellowship (Ph.D).
  5. 1987 - 1990: Worker as researcher at high altitude (Mukeiras) on fruit trees.Conducted experiments on evaluation of existing varieties of Peaches, Grapes , Citrus fruits, Pears, Figs.
  6. 1990 - 1995: Worker as researcher at Central upland Station, Dhamar Head of Horticulture Section, Team leader, Multidisciplinary Fruit Team. National Coordinator, AREA, for Horticulture.
   
• Duties involved:
  1. Discussion of research programmes in meeting ,supervision of Implementation of research activities, in on-Station an on- Farm .
  2. Coordination of research programmes with the station and Centers under AREA as network.
  3. Conducted research on Stone fruit ,apple ,peaches and apricots.
  4. 1995 - to date: Transferred to el- kod Agricultural Research Station .Abyan Governorate .Researcher , conducted research on mango , methods of grafting time of grafting . Sapota ssp.(Calocarpum Sapota) assessment of existing arieties.
  5. 1998 -2001: Appointed as head , Horticulture Section and Team Leader, multidisciplinary for irrigated crops. Duties involved supervision and discussion of research programmes and technical reports.
  6. 2001- to date: Appointed as research worked with Mountains Terrace Project MTP/ICARDA/AREA, to improve natural resources and pruning Coffee trees and proper cultural practices in coffee orchards.

  1. Training extension and farmers in area of multiplication of fruit seedling and grafting methods (2000).
  2. Training junior researchers in the field of pomology, characterization of fruit trees for selection in breeding and grafting programmes.
