    3. M.Sc. (with distinction) Management of Agricultural Knowledge Systems, 1992, Wageningen Agricultural University, the Netherlands. Thesis title: "The case of forestry extension in Sudan, implications for training".
    4. PhD. Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, 1996, Wageningen Agricultural. University, the Netherlands. Thesis title: "Changing forest management strategies in Sudan, a challenge for forestry educational systems".

  • Employment Record:
    1. Joined Sudan National Forests Administration in 1985 and seconded to the FAO project as an extension officer.
    2. In 1987 selected as regional coordinator for forestry extension in the Central Region-Sudan (now four states).
    3. In 1989 joined the Forestry Division of the Khartoum Polytechnics (now the Sudan University of Science and Technology) as a teaching assistant
    4. In 1993 promoted to a lecturer for forestry extension.
    5. In 1996 promoted to assistant professor in the Faculty of Forestry Sciences of the Sudan University.
    6. Jan. 1997 appointed as the dean of the College of Forestry and Range Science of SUST.
    7. Nov. 2000, seconded to the Arab Forests & Range Institute (Lattakia-Syria), of the Arab Organisation for Agricultural Development of the League of Arab States.

    1. Research and extension assistant with the Finnish (FINNIDA) project in Tendulti-Sudan (two months), 1983.
