Role of Parasitoid, Tetrastrichus coccinellae Kurdiumov. (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae)
In Decreasing the Field Population of Some Aphidophagous coccinellids

Abstract
Ecological studies were carried out in Kafr El-Sheikh region from May to August 2003 and 2004 to evaluate the role of this parasitoid in decreasing field populations of the Coccinellids, Coccinella undecimpunctata L., Coccinella septempunctata Bruchi, Cydonia vicina isis Cr., Cydonia vicina nilotica Muls, Scymnus syriacus Muls. and Scymnus interruptus Goez. The highest rate of parasitism on C. undecimpunctata were recorded on the third week of July in the first and second season (81.94 and 67.57%, respectively). The highest rate of parasitism on other coccinellids (C. septempunctata, Cy. v. isis, Cy. v. nilotica, Sc. syriacus and Sc. interruptus) was recorded on second week of June (8.33%), first week of June (45.45%), fourth week of May (18.18%), fourth week of June (28.27%) and first week of July (20.00%), in the first season. In the second season in a maximum rate of parasitism was recorded in the first week of June (14.29%), third week of June (50.00%), first week of August (22.22%), fourth week of June (30.00%) and second week of July (14.29%).
