Abstract
The problems in air pollution monitoring and management are complex and require a critical mass and combination of diverse expertise to effectively solve them. Modern space and information technologies provide valuable tools for the solution of many real-world problems in the field of environemetal pollution and control. This paper presents optimisation metaheuristic algorithms, based on the ideas of artificial intelligence, for developing of the disaster warning network that can provides efficient solution for the above problems. This network is a system of satellites and ground stations for providing real time early warning of the impact of the environemetal problems and minimise its effects. The disaster warning network will: (1) provide access to a wide range of data collected at investigated region, (2) combine the observational data with innovative data analysis in order to improve forecasting and risk assessment, (3) give the synthesize result of monitoring data from different sources, models, data analysis, and (4) will be user friendly to be applied as a decision support in environmental management, in particular in crisis management system.
