Abstract
Building physics in building construction is an important attribute for the architectural and construction work performed. Building physical deficiencies, notice of defects and legal proceedings are the consequences arising out of defects in design, implementation and construction supervision, which result from insufficient knowledge of building physical coherences (sound, heat, humidity, and daylight and fire protection) but as well misestimating the services due.
Main target of this lecture is to clarify the importance of compliance with the requirements of building regulations and civil law in terms of the accepted regulations of building physics. Furthermore this lecture shall be about practical building physical studies and auditable verification methods, building physical deficiencies and shall provide design and implementation details for avoiding these defects.
A further issue will be the implemented and futuristic political targets of the German Government for energy saving and avoidance of pollutant emissions in buildings in connection with the existing requirements and recommendations.
Topics:
1. Building physics in building construction as an important instrument for quality assurance in construction
2. Summerly and winterly heat protection in building construction
3. Political targets for energy saving and avoidance of pollutant emissions, avoidance of building damages, comfortableness demands
4. Building acoustics in building construction: necessity versus luxury
5. Room acoustics and noise reduction in practice (regulations for place of work and construction of schools)
6. Use of daylight and insolation in practice
7. Examples for building damages in practice
8. State-controlled mechanisms for compliance with building physical requirements and recommendations
