Abstract

One of the most important aims beyond present researches world wide is studying the environmental effect of trace metal on biological tissues. due to the shortage of data concerning heavy metal condensation in the east Mediterranean.
This paper presents some data about lead bioaccumulation on two species of fish (Chelon labrosus & Siganus) which are considered as bioindicator in the Syrian marine ecosystem of the east Mediterranean and in a number of their different organs such as ( muscle, digestive gland, liver, gill ). The purpose is to show to which extent coastal regions are affected by urban disposal sediment, petroleum, and industrial disposal. an atomic absorbance spectrophotometer AAS which is very precise is used in two chosen regions (A) pollutant region, and (B) clean region which are named in order wadi kandil and alsaide & alnouzha port during (6/2002-6/2003)
