Effect Of Some Pesticides Used Inside Plastic Houses On The Parasitoid Encarsia Formosa (Gagan)

Abstract


Seven widely used pesticides inside the plastic houses; three insecticides (Concord, Primor, Ablod), two acaricides (Propergit, Apollo) and two fungicides (Sumiscieliks, Robigan) were chosen for this study. Different effects of these pesticides on Encarsia Formosa (Gagan), the parasitoid of whiteflies varied according to the type of pesticide, the concentration and the stage of the treated parasitoid (adult, pupa). The pesticides were arranged according to their effects on the parasitoid pupae from highest to lowest toxicity as follows: Concord, Propargit, Ablod, Rogbigan, Primor, Apollo, Sumiscikliks and according to effect on adult stage: Concord and primor; Also, in the same degree came Ablod, Propergit, Robbigan, Apollo, Sumiscikliks Thus, most hazardous pesticide was Concord, and the least toxic was the fungicide, Sumiscikliks.
