Efficacy Of Beauveria Bassiana (Bals.) On Certain Insect Pests

Abstract
Experiments to evaluate the efficacy of a biopesticide had been carried out in the Agricultural Research Center in Latakia, Syria. The biopesticide based on Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) was tested against the white fly Bemisia tabaci (Genm.) in Tomato greenhouses and under field conditions against larvae of the cotton leaf worm Spodoptera littorialis (Boisd.). Also, it was tested in laboratory against larvae of the Cabbage white butterfly, Pieris rapae L.. A concentration of 1.5 cm3/L of the biopesticide was sprayed twice with one week interval. After 14 days of treatment, the results showed that the reduction in B. tabaci and P. rapae larvae reached 75% and more than 90% in case of S. littorialis larvae.
