• Professional Experience & Responsibilities:
  1. Extensive experience in meteorology, climatology and air pollution studies and in development and utilization of mathematical models for determination of dispersion pattern of air pollutants emitted from industrial sources.
  2. Directing all meteorological, climatological and air pollution studies at the Environmental Sciences Department at Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). Initiated and led several projects and tasks in meteorology, climatology and air pollution modeling, environmental impact assessment, chemical hazard assessment and desertification.
  3. Directing the Environment and Urban Development Division, which comprises the Environment Sciences Department, the Coastal and Air Pollution Department, Building and Energy Technologies and Advanced Systems. Responsible for technical, administrative and financial management of the division staff comprising of engineers, scientists, laboratory technicians, and administrative. The division areas of research include marine pollution, environmental risk assessment, air pollution, desert environment, environmental control engineering, environmental planning and impact assessment, remote sensing, hydraulic and coastal engineering, urbanization and specialized computer applications.
  4. Teaching a course entitled "Environment & Human" at Kuwait University for the fiscal years 1992/93, 1993/94 and 1994/95.
