Abstract

This research was carried out in between of May 1999 to April 2000 in Babadillimani Bight. During the sampling studies trawl operations were restricted in a hourly bases from the depths range of 0-50m, 50-100m and over 100m. The used deep trawl net was a traditional Mediterranean type with 22mm cod end mesh size.
The all data obtained from 36 trawl operations was combined and then evaluated. The Cover Codend Method was applied for determining the selectivity parameters. At the end, it was found that among the selectivity parameters Selection Factor (SF) = 4.7318, and the lengths at which respectively 25%, 50% and 75% of the individuals are retained in the codend were as L25% = 8.86cm, L50% = 10.4133cm and L75% = 11.9663cm.
