Effect of stocking density on growth performance of unio terminalis delicatus from the golbasi lake, hatay / turkey.

Abstract
Effect of stocking density on growth performance of Unio terminalis delicatus was investigated in four (20, 40, 60, 80, / 0.5 m2 ) stocking rates. Mean initial length of spat at the beginning of the experiment was 1,52±0,06 cm and at the end of six months, individuals had higher growth rate at 40 / 0,5 m2 and condition factor at 20 / 0,5 m2 level. Specific growth rate for length and weight were highest in June and July and result showed that there is a positive relation between growth and temperature.
