Abstract

Rainfalls have great importance in development projects for any country. And that can be clearly seen especially in urban and architectural side. So that dams, bridges, tunnels sewerage networks and so on…can t be established without considering quantities of rainfall and its intensity, so specialists can determine the size, location and safety of that installation. This paper treats analyzing rain data collected from rainfall charts recorded in the Syria coast (lattakia) and west south region (Damascus), and includes establishing and classifying the rainfall storms, applying the mathematical probability distributions so we can deal with that rainfall and then forecasting its future behavior. The objective of all what preceded is to posses the curves of rain intensity accurately to use it in ideal designing of sewerage and rain networks in coastal and internal studied areas.
