Treatment models agricultural purposes within the conditions of Syria.

Abstract


In the Syrian Arab Republic which depends on farming basically for its national income with administrative and political tendencies towards self sufficiency, utilization of the available natural local resources, being about to apply sewage water treatment systems with the considerable amounts of sludge resultant there form in such a country the economical conditions determine the most appropriate type and model of sludge treatment taking into consideration the interrelations with the local data and condition. The research shows the fitness of the sewage water seditions in Syria for agricultural applications with the consideration of the relevant hygienic and environmental conditions and requirements.
It explains the aspects, specifications and conditions of treatment, and how to convince the citizens of accepting this treated sludge for improving their agricultural crops in quantity . The study suggests six models for treatment with reference to the positive and negative data in each and the extant of its appropriateness to the available local conditions as for efficiency and application difficulties related to economic, technical, climatic or demographic considerations. It propos the sixth model as most appropriate for Syrian condition.
The study submits a group of recommendations to guarantee the optimal application of model according to the number of the beneficiaries in both the rural and urban regions. It comes as an incentive for the various system that will provide amounts of sludge can be considered good support to the Syrian plans for self dependence and the utilization of local resources and capacities to improve the agricultural production horizontally and vertically.
