Role of Copper in russet fenomena of apple fruit.

Absttact
A number of Experiments were performed in 1995 in order to study the factors affecting the russet on apple. This was done in 4 different places of different environmental conditions, especially the relative humidity.
Results showed the important role of copperoxy-chloride in enhancing the russet despite its use before the flowering stage, and concluded that the 5 Weeks time following the fruit setting was the most sensitive period for russet development. Among other factors which have a role in increasing the effect of copper on russet existence is the increase in the relative humidity. Other pesticides "as Decis" and Rubigan have no influence but Punch may have some influence on russet formation depicting environmental conditions which sustain the stimulation effect of copper.
