The Role of Humidity in Russet Development on Apple Fruits

Absttact
The russet phenomenon on apple fruits has no longer been a side problem because it affects negatively on the property ( quality) and economic in come of the farmers.
During 1995 - 1996, we worked on a research including the role which the humidity plays in increasing the chances of beingaffective on the russet and its effects on the apple fruits /Golden delicious /.
Many experiments had been practised in diffrent locations and cities: Homs, Tartus and Lattakia. Consequently, the role of the weather conditions that is to says humidity was noticeable in making russet on the apple fruits.
