Study on quick dryness of apple trees in syrian coast

Abstract
A field study of quick-dryness in infected apple orchard in Syrien coast. 13 generae of fungi has been isolated from soil and roots of infected tree from Idleb, Latakia and Tartous provences, and the dominemt fungi were Fusarium, Cladosporium and Altenaria generae, the causal agents of root disease, particularly Fusarium genus. Other fungus generae which could participate in root rot disease; leading to dryness; has been isolated such as Botrytis, Acremonium and Pythium, a saprophyte fungi wich could parasite on roots of proper host. In chemical control "Benomyl + mancozeb" by soil treatment was the most effective fungicides. In biological control, Trichoderma spp. which was isolated from soil inhibited the developpement of Fusarium.
