Role of pesticides mixtures in russet developmen on "Golden Delicious" apple fruits.

Abstract
This study aims to examin the reasons responsible for the appearance and development of russet on apple. During the agricultural season of 1995, we started a field experiment in which pesticides used in apple orchards in coastal areas were tested. The purpose of this test was to study the role which these pesticides mixtures might play in causing russet or increasing its degree on apple. Two experiments were run in two different locations (Kafroon and Bustan al-souj). Tested pesticides were applied in a local treatment program which guarranteed the control of major pests. The experiments confirmed the obvious role of the Dursban (Chlorpyriphos ethyl)-Punch (Flusilazole) mixture, and the Dursban-Rubigan (Fenarimol) mixture, in increasing russet on "Golden Delicious" apple fruits.
