Abstract
Two hybrids of silkworm Bombyx mori L. imported from Thailand i.e. chul Thai No. 1 (T1 ) and chul Thai No. 6 (T1 ) were evaluated in Giza and Qalyoubeya Governorates for determining the best hybrid in each governorates for commercial use, also for determining the best one for breeding program to isolate pure lines. The evaluation included the larval duration, weights of fresh cocoon, cocoon shell and pupae, ratioes of cocoon shell and pupation and number of cocoons per liter. Results revealed that, T1 hybrid is suitable for Giza Governorate, while T6 is suitable for Qalyoubeya Governorate.
